Thomas Edmond Garrison, III, is the oldest son of Ed and Juanita Garrison. Tom graduated from Pendleton High School in 1976 and graduated from Clemson University majoring in Agronomy in 1980. After college he returned to work on the family farm.
In 1988 Tom and brother, Bart leased the farm from their father and began to manage the farm operation. Today, Tom has a diversified farm program with crop production, a beef cattle herd, vegetable production, farm market and corn maze/ pumpkin patch. While hospitalized in Anderson Memorial Hospital after a farm accident, he met a nurse Angie Hancock of Anderson. Tom and Angie were married Aug 16, 1986. They have 2 daughters: Abbie, a sophomore at Clemson University, and Lillie, a sophomore at Pendleton High School.
Tom and Angie have been very active at Welcome Baptist Church and in agriculture organizations for many years. He has served in state and national offices with Soil, Water and Natural Resources groups; Chairman of the state Soy Bean Board; President of Pendleton Farmers Society: Ducks Unlimited local committee; Anderson Rotary Club; Farm Bureau state director; and on the Clemson Board of Visitors.
