Civil War Living History and Reenactment Weekend

October 26 and 27, 2013
Saturday 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Sunday 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Where:
Denver Downs Corn Maze 4915 Clemson Blvd, Hwy 76, Anderson SC 29621

Activities:
Walk through the encampments of Artillery, Infantry and Calvary units. Talk with the re-enactors, see the cannons firing, watch the Calvary horses and units drill.  There will be a skirmish between the Union soldiers and the Confederate forces defending the farm. 
Reenactment skirmish on Saturday at 3pm and Sunday 2pm. Then enjoy the maze, hayrides, and barnyard activities.

Saturday (Oct. 26)

  • 10am:
    Presentation of Colors and orders given
    Living History – Re-enactors of Civil War

    Camp open to walk through and talk with Re-enactors
  • 11am:
    Historic Flag Presentation (30 min. –encampment area)

    Cavalry, Artillery and Infantry unit drills 
  • 11:45- 12:45:
    Dinner break for Re-enactors
  • 1pm:
    Historic Flag Presentation  (encampment area)

    Unit drills  - Cavalry, Infantry, Artillery

    Cannons fired
  • 2pm:
    Skirmish between the Yankees and Confederates

    Cannons fired
  • 3pm:
    Historic Flag Presentation  (encampment area)

    Unit drills
  • 4pm:

    Church Service – Old Welcome Baptist Church
    (Across Clemson Boulevard/ Hwy 76 from Farm)
  • 11am:
    Presentation of Colors and orders given
  • 11:45-12:45:

  • 1pm-4pm:
  • Living History Camp open to walk through and talk with re-enactors
  • 2pm:
    Skirmish between the Confederates and Yankees
